Seattle Wedding Photographer FAQs

01. What do your wedding packages include?

All wedding packages include wedding day coverage, hundreds of high resolution images, day of timeline creation and advice, access to a wedding day guide with dozens of tips/tricks for maximizing your day-of photos and vendor referrals, an online gallery, and finally all printing/downloading rights. Larger packages include a complimentary engagement session. 


02. DO YOU ASK FOR A DEPOSIT TO BOOK?

Yep! A non-refundable 50% deposit is due at the time of booking to reserve your date! The remaining balance is due the day before our session/your wedding. After a plethora of good and not so good experiences, I have found that it is so much easier for us to relax and enjoy our time together when the business stuff is all taken care of beforehand.

04. WHAT KIND OF SESSIONS DO YOU OFFER?

I specialize in photographing weddings, engagements, elopements, families and newborns. All of my sessions have the same style, and emphasize a timeless but creative approach. Be sure to check out my two cents on my style on my ‘about’ page for more on this!


05. when can we expect our photos back?

For couple, boudoir, or engagement sessions, I have the photos back to you within 10-14 days!

For weddings I have the photos back to you within 5 weeks!


06. do you offer sneak peEks?

I offer next day sneak peaks for weddings! this is new, so I am really excited about that one ; )!

for all other sessions I don’t offer sneak peaks but I do promise them within 10-14 days and depending on the time of year much sooner!


07. HOW MANY IMAGES will we get?

This will vary depending on your session (how much time we spend together, how many locations, outfits, etc.) but I guarantee at least 50 per hour that we spend together! Typically for couple/engagement sessions I deliver around 150-250, and for a 6+ hour weddings typically between 750-1500.


08. DO YOU EDIT ALL OF THE PHOTOS?

Yes! editing style is a really important part of choosing your photographer. Photography for me is more than just snapping shots. It is the whole process from planning before our session, capturing moments that I think will be meaningful to you, and editing them in a way that will reinforce all of those feelings and emotions you felt wen they were being captured. 

Keep in mind all wedding days are different; there is different light, different settings, different colors, and hey! different people! Every family and wedding is a little bit unique. 

09. DO WE have to pay more for digitals?

Nope! All of my packages include full rights to all of the high resolution digital images for no extra cost. 

10. DO YOU offer albums & prints?

I am a HUGE proponent of print. I do not include them in packages to ensure you aren't paying for something you don't want, but I do offer a full printing service for albums, books, prints, canvases, etc. as an add-on! You will have access to this service as long as your gallery is online, so there is no pressure to decide what you want to print before your session!

For guest books and albums, I use Red Tree Albums, which is considered the best of the best in the photography industry! I have a full swatch of the materials used in the albums that we can look at together to help you design your own book/album, and I provide a full album design service for no extra cost once your gallery is delivered! You can see full pricing for all of these different options through your gallery store, but if that is overwhelming just reach out and I can do it all for ya!

For regular prints, canvases, etc. you are able to order all of these through your gallery store! The photo labs that you are able to print through are amazing quality and only accessible through a professional photographer, so it is kind of a cool perk!

11. CAN WE MEET BEFORE WE BOOK?

Please! It is so important to me that you feel comfortable and confident in your decision to hire me, so if you’d like to meet first count me in! If you are in the Seattle area I would LOVE to grab coffee, donuts, drinks, whatever! If you are out of the area we can absolutely hop on the phone any time! 


12. HOW MANY HOURS ARE INCLUDED ON THE WEDDING DAY?

I have multiple options depending on what your day looks like! My most popular package is 8-10 hours but if that doesn't suit your needs just let me know and we can customize the coverage to suit your needs!


13. DO YOU SHOOT ALONE OR WITH A SECOND SHOOTER?

99.9% of weddings I shoot solo! While my packages do not include a second shooter, my pricing guide includes an add-on for a second shooter. If this is something you'd like, we can absolutely chat more about when/why it might make sense to have another shooter and I can absolutely make that happen! 15. HOW DOES THE DAY-OF TIMELINE WORK?

I am really passionate about providing a timeline that is custom to your day, your needs/wants, and your venue! Not all photographers like to get involved with planning a day-of timeline, but it is something I love doing. You absolutely do not have to use the timeline we create together, but at the very least it can be helpful in understanding how long certain photos will take (i.e. family, first look, bridal party, etc.). This is something we usually will talk about when trying to figure out which package makes the most sense for you, but it is also something that is completely flexible up until the day of! 


16. DO YOU COVER REHEARSAL DINNERS/DAY AFTER SESSIONS?

I offer an add-on for day before or day after coverage! My pricing guide covers these different scenarios, the pricing for coverage. for questions as to why you might want either one, lets talk more about your plans!


17. DO YOU OFFER STAND ALONE ENGAGEMENT SHOOTS?

Yes! Stand alone engagement shoots start at $350 (+tax). These are included complimentary with a few of my wedding packages so be sure to inquire for my full pricing guide if you are interested in learning more about this!


18. DO YOU TRAVEL?

Yes! If your wedding is out of state there is no difference in base pricing, I just ask for airfare, lodging, and transportation to be covered. I will schedule travel and invoice you for the exact cost!

Lodging may not be needed in Bellingham, Portland, Houston, or Bozeman, so we can chat more if your session/wedding is located in one of these areas.
