/ Gold Mountain Golf Course Wedding in the Woods

This Gold Mountain Golf Course Wedding in the Woods was a dream of modern bohemian vibes. The day came to life with the company of their dearest family and friends.

When I first met Mark and Larissa for their engagement session, I instantly fell in love. Within minutes they had me laughing (probably crying from laughing and I’m not exaggerating). Aside from being genuinely hilarious people, they had this infectious love for eachother that made you feel like you were part of something special.

In addition to being amazingly kind, with the most genuine love, they are incredibly wonderful as individuals. They have achieved admirable careers in their respective fields, and are regularly faced with the challenges of long distance bouts as Mark serves in the millitary. While I find myself complaining if Nick spends two nights away at a glorified slumber party, they are so brave and positive through the most strenuous of circumstances.

For their engagement session we met in the forest trails aligning Snoqualmie Falls. We wanted to really embrace their forest vibe. For their wedding we were able to instantly fall back into step, feeling like not a day had passed since I saw them last. We embraced the forest ceremony site at Gold Mountain Golf Course to ensure that they truly had their wedding in the woods they dreamed of.

Their ceremony was amazingly decorated by Larissa’s florist, Casey Watson with Wildflowers Seattle. Someone who would become a friend of mine in the months to come. She is amazing, hire her! Casey lined the ceremony aisle with wildflower petals from her own backyard. Along with bunches of lavender resting on tree stumps at the end of each row. All of Larissa’s bridesmaid’s bouquets, along with her own bridal bouquet, were made of wildflowers form Casey’s garden as well. They were one of a kind and perfection.

All of their bridal party had traveled from the east coast to be a part of their day (Mark and Larissa are from Michigan and New York respectively). So the mood of the day was equally celebration as it was vacation : ). Everyone was there to celebrate the two most lovely humans, and they weren’t holding back.

The ceremony was full of tears and laughter, no surprise given how amazingly hilarious and in love these two are : ). And the reception was no shortage of emotion either. The toasts filled the room with love (and more tears) and the first dances were equally emotional. The night ended with a donut assortment and a dance party that left nobody in their seats.

It was an incredible night, with incredible people, and I feel so blessed to have been a part of it. I miss these guys, and looking back at these has me wishing we could relive it one more time : ).
