faq for families
here are some answers to common questions! JUST HOLLER AT ME IF YOU’D LIKE TO SEE MY FULL PRICING GUIDE WITH MORE DETAILS ON PRICING + PACKAGES OR IF YOU HAVE ANY OTHER QUESTIONS I CAN HELP ANSWER!
01. What is your pricing?
family, maternity, and newborn sessions all begin at $350. send me an email and I can get back to you with more info/availability right away!
02. What do your family/newborn packages include?
All family and newborn packages include the session time, your choice of location, access to a style guide, high resolution images, an online gallery, digital download and printing rights.
03. DO YOU ASK FOR A DEPOSIT TO BOOK/when is payment due?
sometimes! depending on the season/type of session there is A non-refundable 50% deposit due at the time of booking to reserve your date! The remaining balance is due the day before our session. After a plethora of good and not so good experiences, I have found that it is so much easier for us to relax and enjoy our time together when the business stuff is all taken care of beforehand.
04. WHAT KIND OF SESSIONS DO YOU OFFER?
I specialize in photographing families, weddings, elopements, and newborns. All of my sessions have the same style, and emphasize capturing you as you really are at this stage in your lives so that you’ll have the most genuine memories to look back on!
05. when can we expect our photos back?
For family and engagement sessions, I have the photos back to you within 10-14 days!
06. do you offer sneak peeks?
I don’t offer sneak peaks but I do promise them within 10-14 days and depending on the time of year much sooner!
07. HOW MANY IMAGES will we get?
This will vary depending on your session (how much time we spend together, how many locations, outfits, etc.) but I guarantee at least 50 per hour that we spend together! Typically for a regular session there will be ~150-200 images.
08. DO WE have to pay extra for digitals?
Nope! All of my packages include full rights to all of the high resolution images for no extra cost. You can download the images directly from your gallery to print wherever you want and share as much as you want, or you can print straight through your gallery’s store.
09. do you have advice on what to wear?
yes! I have a style guide I will send your way after booking, as well as a Pinterest board with some different outfit ideas : ). both are totally optional, but can be helpful to get ideas flowing!
10. I am worried my kids will be nuts during the seSsion…
that is okay!!! I love letting kids do there thing during sessions so that we can capture them the way they really are and not just frozen at the camera. letting all expectations go out the window tends to yield the most special family sessions. it also seems that by letting them do there thing, they tend to open up to me a bit more : ). oh and, I have tricks… so not to worry!
11. DO you offer albums & prints?
I am a HUGE proponent of print. I do not include them in packages to ensure you aren't paying for something you don't want, but I do offer a full printing service for albums, books, prints, canvases, etc. as an add-on! You will have access to this service as long as your gallery is online, so there is no pressure to decide what you want to print before your session!
For books and albums, I use Red Tree Albums, which is considered the best of the best in the photography industry! I have a full swatch of the materials used in the albums that we can look at together to help you design your own book/album, and I provide a full album design service for no extra cost once your gallery is delivered! You can see full pricing for all of these different options through your gallery store, but if that is overwhelming just reach out and I can do it all for ya!
For regular prints, canvases, etc. you are able to order all of these through your gallery store! The photo labs that you are able to print through are amazing quality and only accessible through a professional photographer, so it is kind of a cool perk!
12. DO YOU TRAVEL?
Yes! If you have something in mind that is not local to the greater seattle area let me know and we can chat!
