Brittany and Tyler planned a perfectly sophisticated garden wedding at Fireseed Catering on Whidbey Island in the Washington San Juans. Their day was filled with laughter, love, beautiful vibrant colors, and multiple odes to their Scottish heritage.
Brittany and I met almost a year ago today. When we talked about her wedding she knew that she didn’t want any of it to be overdone, but she still wanted it to be that wedding she’d always dreamed of. To put it simply, Brittany is this timeless, calm and collected, sophisticated beauty, but she also knows how to have a good time. And that is exactly what her wedding was.
Brittany and Tyler’s wedding was at the beautiful Island Garden oasis that is Fireseed Catering. Fireseed’s grounds and staff make it by far one of the most incredible venues I have ever been involved with. The two co-owners immaculately manage not only their venue and their team of staff, but they also constantly are attending to the couple’s needs and the needs of the vendors. I could not recommend this venue more highly with its perfect blend of sophisticated with a touch of rustic.
Their ceremony involved a (surprise) bagpiper fully dressed in traditional Scottish attire (kilt and all), as well as a traditional Scottish knot tying ceremony reflective of each of the families originating klans.
Their day was effortless yet somehow so perfect, and I will forever remember this beautiful time with these beautiful people and wish we could do it all again.
