We fit this session in right before everything in Seattle shut down. Little did we know we would soon be locked up for a few months. But it worked out in the sense that we found ourselves at an otherwise abandoned Ballard Locks. The Ballard Locks are this really special spot if you are from Seattle. It is where the network of Seattle lakes open up to the Puget Sound, and it’s a place my parents would bring me to in the summers as a kid. Aside from the boats passing, it has beautiful gardens scattered throughout. It’s very cool, and if you find yourself in Seattle you should absolutely check it out.
Having nowhere else to be, we wandered about chatting and exploring. At the end, we made our way down the street to Shilshole Marina, an equally beautiful spot housing dozens of sailboats on the puget sound.
I loved getting to spend time with these two on this morning; so glad we fit this in! A lovely last social interaction for a while : ).
